Slough Islamic Trust helped raise hundreds of thousands of pounds with support from the local community intending to deliver the aid to the refugees personally.   Our chairman, Mr Afzal has been working at the mosque for the last 50 years, and has involved himself in charity projects for much of that time.

The recent fundraiser is a sign of how Slough as a community can come together in times of need.

“I have been doing charity jobs since 1964. When you work honestly, people have faith their money is not being wasted.” Mr Afzal
