Al-Khabir

الخبير
Text Size:
Al-Khabir (The All-Aware) is the Name of Allah signifying that He knows the "Batin" (inner reality) of all things just as He knows their "Zahir" (outward appearance). His "Ilm" (knowledge) extends to the subtlest secrets of the heart and the most hidden details of existence. For the "Mu'min," Al-Khabir is the foundation of "Sadaqah" (truthfulness) in intention. It encourages the "Ummah" to polish their internal state, knowing that Allah is aware of the "Niyyah" (intention) behind every "Amal" (deed), no matter how small it may seem to others. While "Al-Alim" knows the facts, Al-Khabir knows the "Khibrah" (the secret depths and intricacies) behind them. He is aware of the "Waswasa" (whisperings) of the "Nafs." For the "Ummah," this attribute is the basis of "Ikhlas" (sincerity); we cannot hide our true intentions from Al-Khabir, who knows exactly why we do what we do. The Name Al-Khabir appears in the Quran: "Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware (Al-Khabir)" (31:34). This emphasizes that Allah's knowledge penetrates to the deepest realities. Understanding Al-Khabir calls believers to sincerity. They know that their intentions, hidden motives, and secret thoughts are known to Al-Khabir. This cultivates ikhlas (sincerity) in worship. The Prophet said: "Indeed, deeds are judged by intentions" (Bukhari). Al-Khabir also gives comfort. When believers are misunderstood, when their good deeds are unnoticed, when their struggles are hidden, they know that Al-Khabir knows. The ultimate awareness is on the Day of Judgment, when Al-Khabir will reveal what was hidden in hearts. The believer lives with the awareness that Al-Khabir knows all, and they strive to purify their intentions, seeking only the pleasure of the All-Aware.
