Al-Muqit (The Nourisher) - Reinforcing Divine Maintenance. This attribute emphasizes that Allah provides exactly what is needed for each creature to survive. For the "Ummah," this is a lesson in "Tawakkul" (reliance). It also calls us to be "Muqit" in our own sphere, ensuring that we fulfill the "Huquq" (rights) of those dependent on us, reflecting the Divine attribute of careful and perfect maintenance in our own lives, ensuring that we sustain others both physically and spiritually. The Name Al-Muqit appears in the Quran: "And Allah is ever the Nourisher (Al-Muqit) of all things" (4:85). This emphasizes Allah's provision of exactly what is needed. Understanding Al-Muqit gives trust in provision. The believer knows that Al-Muqit provides exactly what is needed. They do not worry excessively about provision. The Prophet said: "If you were to rely on Allah as He should be relied upon, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds" (Tirmidhi). Al-Muqit also calls believers to provide for others. They should ensure that those dependent on them have their needs met. The Prophet said: "The one who provides for his family is like a mujahid in the path of Allah" (Tabarani). The ultimate provision is in Paradise, where Al-Muqit will provide endlessly. The believer lives in trust and responsibility, relying on Al-Muqit and being reliable for those who depend on them.
