Sadr

Sadr, which translates to "Chest" or "Heart/Breast," refers to a foundational and historic Quranic term used to describe the internal seat of the human spirit, the emotions, and the Divine expansion of guidance (Inshirah al-Sadr). As mentioned in Surah Ash-Sharh (94:1): "Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?", the Sadr represents the peak of spiritual receptivity and the Nur (light) of a life that has been opened to the Truth. It is the place where the "Sakina" (tranquility) and the "Waswasa" (whispers) of the self-clash, making it a primary battleground for the Tazkiyah (purification) of the soul.
