Humility (al-Tawadu) is a core Islamic virtue that involves recognizing one’s true station as a servant of Allah and treating all of creation with respect and kindness. It is the opposite of "Kibr" (arrogance), which is seen as the root of many sins. The Quran describes the true servants of the Merciful as those who "walk upon the earth with humility." The Prophet (PBUH) taught that "whoever humbles himself for the sake of Allah, Allah will elevate him." Humility is the key to spiritual growth and social harmony.
