Text Size:
Adam (AS) is the first human being and the first "Nabi" (Prophet) of Allah. Created from "Teen" (clay) and "Ruh" (Divine spirit), he was appointed as the "Khalifah" (steward) on earth. His story in the Quran highlights the origin of humanity, the "Imtihan" (test) in the Garden, and the first "Tawbah" (repentance) after the slip prompted by Iblis. Adam (AS) represents the "Fitra" (natural belief) of all humans and the reality that every person is capable of error but also capable of returning to Allah. He is the "Abu al-Bashar" (Father of Humanity), establishing the inherent dignity and accountability of every human soul.
