The science of Al-Nabatiyat, or "Plant Science," refers to the historic and foundational Islamic study of botanical life, agriculture, and pharmacological plant properties. Representing the peak of early Islamic intellectual Itqan (perfection) and scientific Izzah (honor), scholars like Al-Dinawari integrated the knowledge of antiquity with original botanical observation and the Nur (light) of a faith that views the growth of plants as a primary "Ayat" (sign) of the resurrection and the care of the Creator.
