The Dua for Protection (A'udhu billahi) refers to the historic and foundational practice of seeking refuge (Isti’adha) in Allah (SWT) for safety from all forms of evil, harm, and the whispers of the Shaytan (devil). Rooted in the Quranic command to "seek refuge in Allah" (Surah Al-A’raf 7:200), the formula "A'udhu Billahi..." represents the peak of spiritual Ubudiyyah (servitude) and the Nur (light) of a faith that recognizes Divine power as the only ultimate sanctuary.
