The Battle of al-Qadisiyyah (636 CE) refers to the historic and monumentally significant victory of the Rashidun Caliphate over the Sassanid Persian Empire. Representing the peak of early Islamic military strategy and the Nur (light) of a faith that stood firm against the overwhelming power of the superpowers of the time, Qadisiyyah opened the path for the integration of Persia into the Islamic world. The leadership of Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas (RA) and the bravery of the companions represent the peak of spiritual Itqan (perfection) and a definitive Hujjah (proof) of the Islamic commitment to "Adl" (justice) and the liberation of the oppressed. This victory provided the Ummah with the Sakina (tranquility) and the structural strength needed to lead the world for centuries for the pleasure of their Lord and the benefit of all humanity.
Theologically, the victory at al-Qadisiyyah is a manifestation of the principle of Divine Support (Nasr) and the Hikmah (wisdom) of Divine law in the organization of the human experience.
