Harb al-Dajjal refers to the "War against the False Messiah" or Antichrist, which is a major event in Islamic eschatology. According to Prophetic traditions, the Dajjal will emerge at the end of time to spread chaos, disbelief, and oppression across the earth. He will be opposed by a remnant of believers who remain steadfast in their faith. This cosmic conflict will culminate in the descent of Prophet Isa (AS) (Jesus), who will lead the believers to victory and ultimately slay the Dajjal at the Gate of Ludd, ushering in a period of peace and justice. The Prophet (peace be upon him) described the events leading to the Dajjal's defeat. He said: "The Dajjal will emerge, and a group of believers will oppose him. He will pursue them, and they will take refuge in a city. The Dajjal will lay siege to them, but then Isa (peace be upon him) will descend at the white minaret in Damascus, and the believers will gather around him. He will then go to confront the Dajjal, and when the Dajjal sees him, he will melt like salt in water. Isa will kill him at the gate of Ludd" (Muslim). The war against the Dajjal is not just a physical battle but a spiritual one. The Dajjal will deceive many with his false miracles, but the believers will resist through faith. They will not be deceived by his false paradise or frightened by his false fire. Their faith will be their weapon. For believers, the story of Harb al-Dajjal is a reminder to remain steadfast in faith. The trials of the end times will be severe, but those who hold fast to the truth will be victorious. They seek refuge in Allah from the Dajjal's trial and prepare for the end times through faith and righteous deeds. The war against the Dajjal also demonstrates the importance of unity. The believers will gather around Isa (peace be upon him) and fight together against the Dajjal. They will be united in purpose and faith. For believers, this is a call to unity. The Dajjal's defeat will usher in a period of peace and justice. Isa will rule by the Quran and Sunnah, and the earth will be filled with justice as it was filled with oppression. The believer awaits this time with hope, while striving to be among those who are steadfast in faith. The ultimate victory belongs to Allah and His messengers. The Dajjal will be defeated, and truth will prevail. The believer trusts in this promise and lives in hope of the final victory.
