Faisal Mosque is the national mosque of Pakistan, located in Islamabad. Completed in 1986, it was designed by Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay and named after King Faisal of Saudi Arabia, who funded its construction. The mosque is renowned for its unique modern design,rejecting traditional domes in favor of a tent-like structure inspired by a Bedouin tent,and its capacity to accommodate over 100,000 worshippers.
