Fitnah al-Dajjal refers to the "Trial of the Antichrist," which is considered the greatest and most severe trial to face humanity before the Day of Judgment. The Prophet (PBUH) warned that the Dajjal would appear with miraculous powers, claiming divinity and leading many astray. He will offer a choice between a "paradise" (which is actually hell) and a "fire" (which is actually water). To survive this Fitnah, Muslims are encouraged to memorize the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf and to seek constant refuge in Allah through their daily prayers. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The Dajjal will emerge and will be followed by seventy thousand Jews from Isfahan wearing Persian shawls. He will claim to be God, and he will perform apparent miracles. He will bring a paradise and a fire, but his paradise is actually Hell, and his Hell is actually Paradise" (Muslim). This is the essence of his trial,he will deceive people by inverting reality. The Fitnah al-Dajjal is considered the greatest trial because it directly challenges faith in Allah. The Dajjal will claim divinity and perform miracles that will deceive many. Only those with strong faith, grounded in knowledge, will be able to resist. The Prophet taught specific protections against this trial. He said: "Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal" (Muslim). He also taught a supplication to be recited at the end of prayer: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell, and from the punishment of the grave, and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah" (Muslim). For believers, the Fitnah al-Dajjal is a reminder to strengthen their faith. They study the Quran and Sunnah, particularly the descriptions of the Dajjal and the end times. They memorize Surah Al-Kahf and recite it regularly. They seek refuge in Allah from this trial in every prayer. The Fitnah al-Dajjal also teaches that true faith is not based on miracles but on certainty in Allah. The Dajjal will perform apparent miracles, but the believer knows that they are tricks, not signs of divinity. The believer's faith is rooted in the Quran and Sunnah, not in the spectacular. The ultimate protection is faith itself. The believer who is grounded in faith will see the Dajjal for what he is,a liar and a pretender. They will not be deceived by his false paradise or frightened by his false fire. They will remain steadfast, and they will be among those who follow Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) to victory. The Fitnah al-Dajjal will end with his death at the hands of Prophet Isa. The believer awaits that day with hope, while preparing for the trials that precede it. They remain steadfast in faith, trusting in Allah's protection and mercy.
