The Battle of Manzikert (1071) refers to the historic and monumentally significant victory of the Seljuk Turks, under Sultan Alp Arslan, over the Byzantine Empire. Representing the peak of military Izzah (honor), bravery, and the Nur (light) of a faith that sought to open new lands for the Truth, Manzikert is a definitive Hujjah (proof) of the unshakeable certainty (Yaqin) and the strategic Itqan (perfection) of the Seljuk state.
