فضل سورة الواقعة
Text Size:
The Virtue of Surah Al-Waqi'ah (The Inevitable Event) refers to the immense blessings and special status of the 56th chapter of the Quran. Authentic Hadith indicate that reciting this surah brings protection from poverty and material need. The surah vividly describes the three categories of people on the Day of Judgment: the foremost in faith, the companions of the right hand, and the companions of the left hand. Its virtue represents the peak of Quranic blessings and the Nur (light) of a faith that provides both warning and hope regarding the final reckoning. This surah serves as a definitive Hujjah (proof) of the reality of the Hereafter and the importance of preparing for it, providing the Ummah with the Sakina (tranquility) and the motivation to engage with the Book of Allah for the pleasure of their Lord.

Theologically, the virtue of Surah Al-Waqi'ah is a manifestation of the principle of Divine Justice and the Hikmah (wisdom) of Divine law in the guidance of humanity. It reflects the Nur of a faith that views the recitation of the Quran as a primary means of attaining Basirah (spiritual insight) and preparing for the Hereafter. The vivid descriptions of the three categories of people on the Day of Judgment serve as a Burhan (proof) of the intellectual and moral vitality of the Islamic tradition, which emphasizes the ultimate accountability of every soul. This history reflects the Mizan (balance) between hope and fear, between the reward of the righteous and the consequences of disbelief. Historically, the emphasis on reciting Surah Al-Waqi'ah has provided the Ummah with the moral resilience and the social stability needed to maintain hope in Divine provision and accountability. It underscores the absolute duty of every believer to engage with the Book of Allah and to be a witness to humanity through the power of integrity and radiant achievement.

For the modern Ummah, the legacy of Surah Al-Waqi'ah's virtue is a source of immense pride and a roadmap for contemporary spiritual and personal reform. It teaches the believers the value of preparation, the beauty of unshakeable faith, and the importance of maintaining an ethical and honest relationship with the reality of the Hereafter. In a modern world often characterized by materialism and the neglect of spiritual preparation, the tradition of "The Inevitable Event" provides a roadmap for internal peace and spiritual strength. It encourages a culture of Ihsan (excellence) and communal responsibility.
