Ibrahim ibn Muhammad was the son of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his wife Maria al-Qibtiyya (RA). He was born in 630 CE and died in infancy at the age of approximately 18 months. His death occurred shortly before the Farewell Pilgrimage, and the Prophet (PBUH) wept at his passing, teaching the Ummah that sadness is natural and that the soul finds peace in submission to Allah's will. Ibrahim represents the peak of prophetic humanity and the Nur (light) of a faith that acknowledges the emotional bonds of family while trusting in the Divine decree. His life serves as a definitive Hujjah (proof) of the Prophet's (PBUH) compassion and his status as a father who felt the same love and grief as any believer, providing the Ummah with a model of patience (Sabr) in the face of loss for the pleasure of their Lord.
