Jund Al-Dajjal

Text Size:
Jund al-Dajjal refers to the "Army of the False Messiah" (Dajjal) in Islamic eschatology. Narrations suggest that the Dajjal will be followed by large numbers of people who are deceived by his worldly promises and supernatural feats. These followers are described as those who have weak faith or those who prioritize material gain over spiritual truth. The concept serves as a warning for Muslims to seek knowledge and strengthen their "Taqwa" (God-consciousness) to avoid being recruited into the ranks of falsehood and to remain steadfast with the army of the Mahdi and Prophet Isa (AS). The Prophet (peace be upon him) warned that the Dajjal will be followed by many. Among his followers will be Jews from Isfahan, as well as others who are deceived by his false miracles. The Dajjal will offer them worldly benefits, and they will follow him. For believers, the concept of Jund al-Dajjal is a reminder of the importance of strong faith. Those with weak faith are easily swayed by false promises and apparent miracles. The believer strengthens their faith through knowledge, prayer, and righteous deeds, so that they are not deceived. The Prophet also taught that the Dajjal will be opposed by a remnant of believers who remain steadfast. They will be joined by Prophet Isa (peace be upon him), who will lead them to victory. The believer strives to be among these steadfast ones. The concept of Jund al-Dajjal also highlights the importance of knowledge. Those who are ignorant of Islamic teachings are more vulnerable to deception. The believer seeks knowledge of the Dajjal and the end times, learning from the authentic narrations of the Prophet. The believer also seeks refuge in Allah from the Dajjal's trial in every prayer. The Prophet taught a supplication that includes seeking refuge from the Dajjal's fitnah. The believer recites this with sincerity, trusting in Allah's protection. Ultimately, Jund al-Dajjal will be defeated. Prophet Isa will kill the Dajjal, and his army will be defeated. The believer awaits this victory with hope, while preparing for the trials that precede it. They remain steadfast in faith, knowing that truth will ultimately prevail over falsehood. The final victory belongs to the believers, and the believer strives to be among them.
