Qatl al-Dajjal (The Killing of the Dajjal) refers to the prophesied event in Islamic eschatology when the False Messiah (Al-Masih al-Dajjal) will be slain by Prophet Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) upon his second coming. According to authentic Hadith, after the Dajjal emerges and spreads corruption across the earth, claiming divinity and performing false miracles, Allah will send Prophet Isa back to earth. He will descend at the white minaret in Damascus, then pursue the Dajjal and catch him at the gate of Lud (Lydda) in Palestine. The Prophet (peace be upon him) described: "Then Allah will send the Messiah, son of Mary, and he will descend at the white minaret in the east of Damascus... He will then catch up with him at the gate of Lud and kill him" (Muslim). This event marks the decisive victory of truth over falsehood and the end of the Dajjal's trial (Fitnah), which the Prophet described as the greatest tribulation since the creation of Adam. The slaying of the Dajjal demonstrates Allah's ultimate power over deception and evil. Following this victory, Prophet Isa will establish justice, break the cross, abolish the jizya, and usher in a period of peace and prosperity. This prophecy provides hope to believers that no matter how powerful falsehood appears, truth will ultimately prevail through divine intervention.
